The Photobiomodulation is a therapy based on communication and interaction between light energy and tessues. All cells are able to absorb light and the effect of that light communication will be different depending on the physical parameters of the light such as (wavelength, frequency of the peaks between the different waves, the intensity of energy) and factors related to the time of the treatment and to the interval between light pulses.
Different parameters determine different biological effects: it will be possible to obtain an increase or a decrease of cellular activity.
The monochromatic light interferes on the mitochondrial respiratory chain of the cell ( energy center) and in particular on the enzymatic structures called "cytochrome - oxidase". This will lead to an increase of endogenous production of energy in the form of ATP that the cell uses to improve its functions. From the therapeutic point of view this will be an improvement of the functional activity and a rapid restoration of the tissue integrity.
What happens when the LED is used on the skin ?
- 1° An increase in the activity of fibroblasts. It 'has been demonstrated that fibroblasts, dermal cells that produce collagen fibers, and hyaluronic acid, interact primarily toward light sources with a wavelength between 800-900 nm and with 30-60 pulses per minute. This stimulation will lead to an increase in the work of fibroblasts with formation of new structural components of the dermis. Your skin will objectively more toned and rejuvenated.
- 2° An increase in blood flow. The "LED fotomodulation" 880 nm is able to stimulate in a few days the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and of nitric oxide by increasing local blood flow and therefore increasing the supply of oxygen and nutritional subtances . the skin will be oxigenated and will appear healthier . Also the lymphatic drainage will increase and remove the toxins
3°A Metalloproteases inhibition.Another action of the photostimulation is to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as metalloproteinases type I (collagenases) which attack and degrade the structure of collagen that is a ,substance of vital importance for the elasticity and the composition of the dermis.
The photobiomodulation LED increases the amount of collagen type 1, improving skin texture
Thighs, arms, abdomen
Over the years, we have a slow and progressive destructuring of the skin with an alteration of the fibers (collagen and elastic fibers) and with a reduced supply of oxygen due to an alteration of the vascular network. All this is clearly aggravated and accelerated when associated to the incorrect lifestyle (smoking, sun, stress, etc..).
some areas of the body have more accentuated this problem mainly because often is joined to alterations as "cellulite" , in the inner region of the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and arms. Visually, we can notice a loss of tone, not well defined contours, a cute "weighed down" with small or medium irregularities.
The application of light using LED instrumentation is a athermic, painless, non-invasive. process The LED will not damage the tissue but stimulates a reaction . Specific programs are set depending on the case, and the handpiece with the lights is passed several times on the area. The time of the session is about 20 minutes and will be repeated weekly for a total of 10 or 15 sessions. You will appreciate the results after a few sessions . You will notice a remarkable improvement of the skin , and an improvement of the tone with a reduction of sagging and a greater firmness
To get the best result In most difficult cases of sagging skin is very useful to combine both the photobiomodulation (LED) and the infiltrations with platelet growth factors
